Sorry, been away last few days, there is something strange going on this server, i uploaded picture just fine and its visible in admin, but seems inaccessible from WWW, can you please PM me your FTP login and pass and your hosting support email. Needs some investigation, not sure whats going on.

Must be some misconfiguration or with changing permissions ownership been changed too and now web server cannot access folders but they are readable by php. Hard to say without closer examination.

For example this:
http://www.wellsimagery.com/upload/cont ... Winter.jpg
is thumbnail which was created by php from picture I uploaded and its accessible just fine, but not the image itself:

were you able to find a solution? I need to figure this out so I can get this gallery working. otherwise I'm going to have to find a different gallery :/ I would rather stick with this one. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Please before you jump to any conclusions give us the opportunity to atleast check your link. The last post in this topic was done more than a month ago. Most issues related to upload, are issues which can be fixed. Unfortunately, since there is 100's of different server platform combinations and configurations, there is a chance that various features in Imagevue might not work on 1% of the servers.

Please post your url and let us look at it. Please also post your admin password, or send PM if necessary.

I come to the Forum for some answers and this topic had the most replys so I thought it would have been resolved.

this is where I'm stuck...

[img:991:779]http://www.fotomat.net/images/wtf.jpg[/img]

I'm on a Mac
I'm using transmit
I have my images in the content folder ...
I would like to use the carbon template so from what I understand I put the slideshow.php and the index.php in this same folder?
Not sure how this UPLOAD part works and for that matter the thumbnail making part..

Thanks!

ok, I would be grateful if you provided you admin password so I can do some research.

From just checking your link, I found out:
You have not set permissions yet (read here: https://www.photo.gallery/support/docs/195 ). Without setting permissions, you will not be able to upload photos, create descriptions, or create thumbnails. My guess is that this will solve all your admin issues. Setting permissions is step 3 of the getting started documentation here: https://www.photo.gallery/support/docs/192 and should not be confused with the other issue in this topic.

This is from my provider..

I logged into the admin and i couldn't get to an upload screen. it says
'hit browse to upload' i hit browse and it says to select a folder.. i
select a folder.. hit browse.. it says to select a folder.. i did.. hmmm..

Everything is setup correctly on the server as far as I can tell.. you
will need to contact the support staff for the script as it appears to
not be working correctly.

Thanks!

Im sure you will. Please post as a separate topic.

I still dont have the password to your admin so unless you have solved the issues, then please provide it in a private message or email.

Ahh finally, here is the remedy!

viewtopic.php?t=1208

btw frustrated, I fixed that on your server, so you shouldnt bother with editing files, just keep new upload.php tho.
