Is it possible for the slideshow module to have a site menu parameter so I can link to and from the gallery module which does have site menu capabilities?

My objective is to have a the first page of my site to have a slide show playing with a site menu at the top. The site menu would have a link to load the gallery module that also has a site menu.

This will allow me to integrate the three primary imagevuex modules into one site.

I am not quite sure what you are looking to do ...

You want to link to and from the gallery module? from where? You can have slideshow as the startpage, and use a sitemenu, yes. The slideshow has same sitemenu capabilities as the main gallery. So, I think yes it can be done....
