Admin Fla file

01 Apr 2008, 11:58

I am trying to delete all of the possible icons on the "options to leave it as simple as possible to my non tech customers when they access the admin section I set up for them.

I want to keep Upload, Create Thumbnails and Settings.
I want to delete HTML Source, Templates, Success Log, Help and Clear Area.

Tried opening the admin.fla source file in Flash Professional CS3 and delete the contents of those frame.
When I tried outputting it at different settings none of them worked properly with the gallery.

Can you give me the steps needed to do what I want?
I am sure there are lots of people who could also benefit.

Unless you have removed anything that needs to be there, it should be fine as long as you export for Flash 7 AS2.

It's a bit hard for me to diagnose modifications to the FLA files.

Well let me put it this way to you.

How would you remove these options if you wanted to for a website?

I have opened the admin fla, clicked into Scene 1 - descriptions - options.
I tried to delete some of the frames on the content layer but the script won't work when I export it and subsitute it for the one on my server.

If you work for the company.....how could you not know how to do this?
I don't understand. Surely someone in the company can advise on how to do this. I'm sure other users need to do similar things.

So have you got an answer for me?
How do I take some of these options out to make it easier and less daunting to a customer to update their photos?

I would like to keep Upload and Create thumbnails and delete the rest of the options on this list. How can I do this.

Upload
Create Thumbnails
Settings
HTML Source
Templates
Success Log
Help
Clear Area

I even tried deleting the "Help" from the array in the movieclip
function () { xpos = 141;xmove = 16;defaulthead = "Options:";buttonarray = new Array("Upload", "Create Thumbnails", "Settings", "HTML source", "Templates", "Success Log", "Clear Area");for (i=1; i<(buttonarray.length+1); i++) {attachMovie("obutton","obutton"+i,i);this["obutton"+i]._x = xpos;this["obutton"+i]._y = -

Exported it from CS3 and still shows the Help option.
As the makers of this file surely you can provide me with the answer?

FLA Files

You know I don't expect much or how to do everything required for the FLA files but

I have opened the Admin Fla (commercial licence) in Flash Pro CS3
Exported it without changing using Flash 7 Actionscript 2 like you said.

Error says:

! Imagevue Admin Password !
This seems to be the first time you visit the imagevue admin section, Make sure you have create unique password by following the procedure here: www.imagevue/support/passwords/

Before you create your own password, you will only be able to access the admin through the guest login.

You know I own thousands of pounds of software and this is by far the worst support I have had from any of the vendors I have bought from.

Is it that difficult to visit these forums at least once a day and provide answers to software you built yourself?
