Imagevue does support progressive jpgs -

It was not supported for some time simply because the flash player did not support progressive jpgs. Since flash player version 7 it does though.

Why do you need to convert your progressive jpg's to normal jpg? You can convert them by opening them in any image viewing application and re saving them without the progressive setting - Keep in mind this will recompress your jpg picture and degrade the general quality of the picture.
