parts of background turn white when maximizing/restoring

10 Oct 2006, 16:24

I have the following settings in my config file...
bgcol = c0c0c0
backimage = false

If I open a slideshow in a non-maximized browser... ie. opened browser takes up 1/2 screen.... not full screen. Then I maximize the browser... parts of the slideshow background become white white instead of the specified color.

For an example perform the following steps...

0. Size your browser to about half of the size of your monitor
1. Go tokristi.merelyafleshwound.com
2. Open the Fleshwounds - Outside
3. Click on the first photo in the thumbnail viewer
4. Then maximize your gallery
5. Then restore down
6. Repeat steps 4 & 5

ok, I spent some time looking into this. I agree its a pending issue, and I will keep it under surveillance. However, I will address a few issues you have directly which make this effect occur:

# 1 In your config file, you have backalign=C. C is not an available setting. Try setting M, which will fix the problem.

# 2 You are using 2 different background colors at http://kristi.merelyafleshwound.com/. In your HTML file, you have bgcolor="#FFFFFF", while in your configfile kristi-config.ini, you have bgcol = c0c0c0. If you set these colors alike, the problem will be fixed, even without addressing issue #1.

The reason we are using index.PHP, is so that we can forward the bgcol fromt he config file into the html document. If you are going to do it manually, then you need to se the colors correct manually also.

Now, you might be wondering why your background would be moving just because of these minor issues? Without having to go deep into the answer, I can tell you that the integration between the Imagevue and the Sldieshow is abit hairy because of different core Stage- and alignment methods in both of them.

As for gordo019, would you be able to post me a link to your gallery?

I did this step first and it did not fix the problem.

I did this step second... and it DID fix the problem :D.... Thanks!

However I would like to comment... there are 3 different places in the htm file that need to have the background color specified. So including the config file that makes 4 places someone needs to touch in order to change the color of the background.

It would be nice if the background color could be 100% driven from the config file.

Thoughts?
