Custom Data and Custom Data Link

29 Sep 2006, 18:52

How does this parameter work? I didn't see anything in the online documentation. I would like to use it for an e-mail link.

I havent been able to create good documentation for the new features yet. To enable the customdata link in the slideshow controls, please follow the these basic steps:

#1 Open your slideshow configuration file.

#2 under maincontrols, add the button "customdata" anywhere in the array.

#3 In customdata, add your text. Use html tags if you like.

#4 In customdatalink, add the link or mailto:email@address.com

I am thinking that this will place my data/link somewhere on the page... but I don't know where... and I can't seem to get it to work.

Has anyone else been able to get this going? Is there an example in the gallery demos?

Thanks
Alex

Well, did you guys try what I said. Check the links below:

Here there is NO custom customdata link:
link1

Here, check the last button customdatalink:
link2

Here, I have put the button number 2 from left:
link3

Remember, there are two config files for the Slideshow. One for the standalone slideshow (slideshowconfig.ini) and one fot the slideshow that appears in Imagevue (slideshowimagevueconfig.ini).

Still cant get it to work? Give me link to your gallery...
