Specify a default gallery to load

05 Dec 2006, 08:04

Hi,

I'm interested in using this software, but in Microsoft Content Management Server sites.

I need a particular gallery loaded depending on the page. Is it possible to dynamically set the default gallery to load?

Thanks.

Aslong as the server meets the Imagevue requirements(PHP), it should work fine.

You can reference what gallery to be viewed by using a parameter in the URL, either contentfolder or folder. Parameters may also be hardcoded into pages.

Thanks for the reply.

Is it also possible to remove the menu and can there only be two levels?

1. Yes, you can remove the menu.

2. It only supports 2 levels for each "gallery", but if you are gonna load an individual gallery for each page, then each gallery will have 2 levels of course.

# You can also set it to have 1 level or 0 levels(no menu).

User may upload from their harddrive in the admin module, but this is not FTP. The admin upload is not as powerful as FTP, and is only able to select single images for upload in one go.

In a future release, we are looking forward to provide better upload features in the admin.

This seems to be the topic I am looking for. I'm wondering when you think there is an update available where it's possible to select multiple files instead of browsing and selecting one by one?

The restriction of only being able to select a single image at a time for upload is browser/http related, and if we could ahve worked around it we would have. Looking to the future, Flash player 8 allows a workaround for uploading multiple files, and we will be looking to release a new version soon with multiple file upload capabilities.
