Locally setup

11 Dec 2006, 13:31

Hello all,

I just found out that my host server does not support the GD2 so, are there any way to setup the pages locally and upload to the web. I mean that I can manually setup everything at the localhost and after I finished with my project so I can upload everything to the web server.

Many thanks.

You can avoid gd at all - just put thumbnails created by yourself and named tn_*.jpg in the same folders with files.

For easy testing locally I'd recommend you some Apache+PHP bundle - for example EasyPHP: http://www.easyphp.org it also includes mysql which you dont need, but very easy to set up and config. If any questions - ask in Server/PHP forum viewforum.php?f=6
